Stitch from Stash: January

Here's my first report for the Stitch from Stash Challenge:

WIPs worked on:
I continued working on the Tartan Thistle Scissor Keep, I was hoping to get it done this month but was distracted by a new start (isn't that how it always works) so its now part of my February goals to finish the stitching on this.

New Starts:
I had one new start but I already had it kitted up in my stash, so I didn't need to buy anything, and I even managed to get it completely done. So while I might not have been working on the project I was supposed to I did finish something so I'm going to count this as a win.

The new start/finish was Warm Hearts Christmas Crow, by Carousel Charts. I had originally bought it last year hoping to have it done for Christmas, but never had time to get it done, at least I'm ready for next Christmas now!

Money spent:
I actually spent $0 this month, so I have $25 to carryover into February. I was lucky in that I already had all I needed for the projects I wanted to work on.
At some points it was really hard to resist getting something off my wish list or browsing e-bay "just to look"

Hopefully I can keep up this streak but I think having a $50 budget next month may prove too tempting.

2014 WIPocalypse

In order to keep myself motivated to cross stitch in throughout the year I've joined the 2014 WIPocalypse challenge and the Stitch from Stash challenge.

This month's WIPocalypse post is as follows:
January  16- Topic: Introduce yourself, your projects, and any goals you have for the year!

So my name is Laura, I've been cross stitching for about 8 years, But I've only seriously gotten back into it the last couple of years, however in that time I've managed to accumulate quite a stash and a number of WIP's.

My Current WIP list:
     Autumn Farm
     Dimensions Stocking
     Dragon on Castle
     Ballerina
     Thistle Scissor Fob

Up first is the Thistle Scissor Fob:
